Dam Jadid takes key sits in the ministry of Education.
Mogadishu-(Sh.M.Network)-trusted sources including some members of Dam Jadid told Shabelle media station that the strong party aims to expand its authorities to key government strong holds.
Some different sources informed the media station that the key institutions that the party has full control include the ministry of Education and higher learning and the ministry of State security. By doing so, the party officials are aiming for long term interests in the country’s political power house.
The sources confirmed that misunderstandings between the former ministry of Education and the largest educational board that owns majority of Educational academies in the country FPENS existed in the previous regimes but with the new government in place, the officials of the educational board have been appointed in top government positions in the ministry.
The largest educational umbrella coexists with the new government smoothly and the quick u turn made by the body is believed to be the shift of power from a former Islamist president (Sheikh Sharif) to a leader with a strong political foundation.
The news that FPENS being a member of Dam Jadid party shows that the party has strong political channels before even one of the members was declared to be the president of the country.
Now what did FPENS do when Dam Jadid took over power in the country?
FPENS a member of Dam Jadid party took over key positions in the ministry of education.
Several officials were sacked and replaced with members of Dam Jadid officials.
The following list shows some of the previous officials and who they were replaced with.
1-Abu Ali Sheikh Mohamud who was the former examination board chairman was replaced with Prof Mohamed Elmi Tohow who is a close friend of the minister of internal security AbdiKarin Hussein Guled who was a former chairman of FPENS.
2-Muse Farah Heyd who was the former general manager of FPENS was replaced with Mohamed Abdiqadir Nur who also served as a chairman at FPENS before being named at this position.
3-Ismail Ma’lin Abdullahi Badiyo who was The former chairman of educational boards in the ministry of education was replaced with Dau Mohamed Makaran who is a prominent member of Dam Jadid
4-The position of the chairman of educational curriculums in the ministry of education was vacant was given to another member of Dam Jadid Mr. Abdullahi Sheikh Rashid a lecture at Simad university in Mogadishu.
On 30TH May this year a committee was named to supervise the educational funds received from donor countries and the chairman of FPENS Abdiqadir Kadle another prominent member of the party was named the chairman of the committee. Some politicians who did not want to identify their names to the public said that they feared the students travelling to overseas countries may join the party in the future as the party controls the sponsorship programs.
The top officials in the ministry of education dominated by Dam Jadid recently prepared a new syllabus which is set to be forwarded to the parliament to be implemented.
